Firewall IP : Firewall for iPhone and iPod Touch released on Cydia

Firewall iP for iphone is now available on CydiaStore for only $1.99.

Firewall iP allows you to block outgoing connections (TCP & UDP). It hooks into applications from AppStore and Cydia. Firewall iP will alert you if the app wants to establish a connection to a host and shows you the hostname. Then you have the options to allow/deny the connection once/always or allow/deny all connections for the application.
You can decide if the application will send data. Developers will no longer be able to collect stats about you (UDID, phone number, usage statistics…) or even collect personal data. With Firewall iP you can cover all app analytic providers which aren’t in PrivaCy and also custom analytic.

The application will work in two parts: The first will exploit the MobileSubstrate, and it remains active in the background, but it will provide a decent overall speed, remaining within the limits of RAM memory usage. When you load an application, the firewall will bring up a pop-up menu where you can find out what you are trying to access. You can:

Allow the connection only once
Lock the connection only once
Always allow the connection
Always block the connection
Allow any request for a specific application
Block any request for a specific application

The second part of the application, you can access through the icon on your springboard and will be useful to modify and / or cancel the rules set to certain applications

Now many of you Apple iPhone users are begging for Adobe Flash Player but yet still Apple will not allow it at the moment, Adobe obviously wants flash on your iPhone judging by the message they are displaying.
You have to admit when viewing content on the Apple iPhone that requires flash you would have come across a message saying something like “To view this content upgrade your browser and flash plug-in.” Well now Adobe has a new message.
The new message says “ADOBE FLASH PLAYER – Flash Play not available for your device, Apple restricts use of technologies required by products like Flash Player. Until Apple eliminates these restrictions Adobe cannot provide Flash Player for the iPhone or iPod Touch.”
Ok we know about messages but this new message is surely a dig at Apple to get their act together, come on Apple it looks like Adobe wants’ and all iPhone users definitely wants’ it.
